Climashield Buff / Hat

The mesh outer shell version is built from 1000cfm mesh shells with 2.5oz Climashield APEX batting.

These are very warm and highly breathable. They are great as just a neck warmer, or pulled over mouth and nose for warmer breathing, and can be worn as a hat with one end cinched. When combined with a warm hood or hat to insulate the rest of your head, these can provide a good way to breathe warm air while sleeping at night. They won’t do as well as a Waterbear hood, since they put the mesh right against your face and mouth, instead of holding a pocket of air, but they do a pretty good job, at a low cost.

The Argon 67 outer shell version is built from A67 ripstop nylon outer shell, with a 1000cfm mesh inner shell and 2.5oz Climashield APEX batting.

This version is not suitable for breathing through, given the nylon shell, but is suitable for use as a warmer hat. The mesh version has very high air permeability, which is great for breathing into, but limits the insulation ability when used as a hat. The Argon helps limit air transfer and blocks wind, which keeps you warmer. Choose this one for use as a hat and/or wind blocking neck warmer that you don’t need to breathe through.
